5 Easy To-Do Sellers Tips for a quick Sell this Spring!

5 Easy to do Tips to help Your Home stand

out above the competition!

1.) 1st Impressions count!

Painting the front door or even replacing it if it’s beyond help can make a real difference. A nice shiny door always stands out. Alternatively, cleaning, varnishing or painting it will give the prospective buyer a great 1st impression. Add Some Color! Planting some flowers around the entryway can really make your property come alive. Choose a variety of color that really stands out. Adding a few potted plants in a covered entryway is always a nice touch.

2.) Paint Walls walls nuetral colors!

Painting is one of the cheapest, most effective improvements you can make in your home – especially if the colors aren’t neutral to begin with. I know you think painting is cheap and that the buyer can do it later. Most people don’t have the vision. They need to see it done. Painting your home off white or in earth tones is the best way to go.

3.) Clean You’re Windows/ let natural light in!

Cleaning your windows can really spruce up your home. A bright home always shows far better. Remove heavy drapes and curtains. This will help breathe new life into your home. Blinds are very easy to install and come in all sizes at your local home improvement center.

4.) Change Old Lighting-replace worn out old brass fixtures!

Lighting is a subtle enhancement to make, but a buyer will notice if a home’s lighting is outdated. There are some great lights that can be purchased rather cheaply in many lighting stores. Even little things like upgrading to brighter bulbs can help.

Dark or poorly lit rooms turn off most homebuyers. Although it’s a little more expensive to add, recessed lighting can really change the look in a room. Recessed lights work especially well in kitchens and baths.

5.) De-clutter Your Home, till it hurts!

This one can really go a long way. Buyers like spacious rooms and closets they can envision their own belongings in. Getting rid of things you don’t need or can put into storage while your home is on the market can transform the appearance of your home.

Hold a garage sale for those items that still hold value. For things you want to keep but will spoil how well your home shows, consider putting your stuff in a short-term storage facility.

Boy Scouts – Cimarron Council Luncheon- Worthy Cause

Very Worthy Cause !

“We have set the date for this year’s Good Scout Luncheon for March 15, 2012 at the Enid Symphony Concert Hall. Enid’s enthusiastic support at last  year’s lunch helped raise over $10,000 for the Cimarron Council Boy Scouts and we are hoping for a bigger and better event this year.

Our goal this year is to bring 150 Friends of Scouting together to honor our volunteers and to remind us what Scouting does for our community.  We are currently recruiting table hosts and sponsors who can bring five people (OR MORE!) to our luncheon.  Those people who wish to bring guests, please let us know the number in your group, so that we will have an accurate count for lunch.  If we are provided with an email, we will send invitations and reminders to those guests prior to the event.

This year, we are honoring our first BSA North Star Award in Mr. Paul Allen for his continued support of Scouting.  Dana McDaniel representing Junior Welfare League will also be honored.  In addition, we will have Lt Colonel Timothy Stong from Vance AFB as a keynote speaker, describing his experience as a Scout…. Brad Waken”

I can’t think of a better way to help the youth of Enid and improve the lives of all of our citizens. Please donate generously!
